Kōan is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Research & Communications Intern to join our team for a four-month period. In this role, you'll be supporting content creation, digital engagement, and research, contributing to meaningful sustainability initiatives.

Contract

Four-month internship. Option of full-time or part-time internship. Starts May or June.

Key responsibilities include

  • Develop and implement engaging social media content and campaigns for our LinkedIn page and website, to help us boost our online presence

  • Assist in the editing and design of client-facing newsletters and other communications materials

  • Contribute to the development of compelling written materials

  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in sustainability reporting and best practices, including data collection and leveraging AI tools

  • Participate in internal meetings and discussions on sustainability topics

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a master's degree program (sustainability, environmental studies, business, communications, marketing or related field).

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Strong research and social media management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A keen eye for design

  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact

  • A solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite
